1. PHONE SCRIPTS

Inbound Call — Tire Inquiry

"Thank you for calling [Shop Name], this is [Your Name]. How can I help you with your vehicle today?"

Customer: "I need a quote on tires for my [Vehicle]."

"I would be happy to help with that. To make sure I get you the most accurate quote and the right tires for how you drive, can I ask a few quick questions?"

"What year, make, and model is your vehicle?"

"Do you know your current tire size, or would you like me to look that up?"

"What type of driving do you do most — highway, city, or mixed?"

"Are you looking for a specific brand, or would you like my recommendation based on your needs?"

"When do you need the tires installed?"

After gathering info:

"Great, for your [Vehicle] I have three options I recommend. Our Premium package at $1,299 features [Brand] with a 70,000-mile warranty and includes alignment, road hazard protection, and lifetime rotations. Most of our customers choose this option. Our Standard package at $995 is a solid choice with [Brand] and standard installation. And our Complete package at $1,595 adds custom wheels and nitrogen fill. Which sounds most like what you are looking for?"

"I have an opening this afternoon at 2 PM or tomorrow morning at 10 AM. Which works better for your schedule?"


Inbound Call — Service Inquiry

"Thank you for calling [Shop Name], this is [Your Name]. How can I help you today?"

Customer: "How much is an alignment?"

"I can help with that. Our alignment services start at $119 for a 4-wheel alignment, and that includes a before-and-after printout and our 6-month guarantee. Before I book you in, can I ask what type of vehicle you have and what made you think you need an alignment?"

Listen for symptoms:

"Pulling to one side and uneven tire wear are both signs of misalignment. The good news is we can check it for free and let you know exactly what is going on. If it needs adjustment, the $49 check fee applies toward the full alignment. I have an opening today at 3 PM. Want me to hold that for you?"


Outbound Follow-Up Call

"Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] from [Shop Name]. You came in last week for a quote on tires for your [Vehicle]. I wanted to follow up and see if you had any questions or if you were ready to get those scheduled."

If not ready:

"No pressure at all. Is there anything specific holding you back — is it the price, the timing, or are you still comparing options? I want to make sure I have given you everything you need to make the best decision."

If comparing:

"I completely understand. Here is what I would recommend — make sure you are comparing the full package. Our quote includes mounting, balancing, alignment, road hazard protection, and our 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Many quotes that look lower do not include those. If you find a better value, I want to know about it. Fair enough?"


2. GREETING & DISCOVERY SCRIPTS

Walk-In Greeting

"Welcome to [Shop Name]! I am [Name]. Are you here for tires, service, or just exploring options today?"

For tire shoppers:

"Perfect. Let me get a little information so I can recommend the best setup for your vehicle and driving style. What do you drive?"

For service-only:

"No problem at all. What is going on with your vehicle? Any specific symptoms or concerns?"

For browsers:

"Take your time looking around. We have a full selection of tires and wheels on display. If you have any questions, I am right here. Is there a particular style or brand that caught your eye?"


The Discovery Conversation

"So I can recommend the best option for you, tell me a little about how you use your vehicle."

"How many miles do you drive per year?"

"Mostly highway commuting or around-town driving?"

"Do you deal with heavy rain, snow, or extreme temperatures?"

"How long do you typically keep your vehicles?"

"What matters most — longevity, performance, comfort, or value?"

"Have you had any issues with your current tires?"

"Based on what you have told me, here is what I recommend and why..."


3. TIRE PRESENTATION SCRIPTS

Three-Option Presentation

"For your [Vehicle], I have three options I want to show you:"

"Our Premium option at $1,399 is the [Brand/Model]. This is a top-rated tire with a 70,000-mile warranty, excellent wet-weather handling, and the quietest ride in its class. If you plan to keep your vehicle for several years, this is what I would put on my own car."

"Our most popular option at $1,099 is the [Brand/Model]. This is an outstanding all-around tire with a 60,000-mile warranty, solid performance in all conditions, and great value. Most of our customers choose this one."

"Our Standard option at $799 is the [Brand/Model]. This is a reliable tire that will serve you well if you are primarily focused on value and do not drive in extreme conditions."

"Which of these three sounds most like what you are looking for?"


Tire Quality Education

"Can I show you something that most people do not know about tires?"

Show tread compound difference:

"See this tread pattern? The Premium tire has these sipes — these tiny cuts — that channel water away at highway speeds. The Standard tire has fewer of them. In a heavy rainstorm, that difference gives you 15-20 feet shorter stopping distance. That is the length of a car."

Show UTQG ratings:

"These numbers tell the story. The treadwear rating on the Premium tire is 700 — that means it should last 70,000 miles. The Standard is 500, or about 50,000 miles. So the Premium tire costs $150 more but lasts 20,000 miles longer. That is actually cheaper per mile."


4. ALIGNMENT SELLING SCRIPTS

With New Tire Purchase

"Since we are installing new tires, I strongly recommend our 4-wheel alignment. Here is why this matters — your current tires show signs of uneven wear on the inside edge. See this? That tells me your camber is out of spec. Without correcting the alignment, your new $1,000 investment will wear unevenly and you will lose 15,000 to 20,000 miles of tread life. That is like throwing away $200."

"Our alignment is $119 and includes a 6-month guarantee. If your vehicle pulls or wears unevenly during that time, we will re-check it free. Should I add that to protect your new tires?"


For Handling Issues

"You mentioned the car pulls to the left. I just checked your alignment, and your left camber is out of spec by 0.8 degrees. That is causing the pull and also wearing your left front tire unevenly. An alignment will fix the handling and prevent premature wear. It takes about 45 minutes. Want me to get that taken care of today?"

5. TPMS SERVICE SCRIPTS

Sensor Replacement

"Your left front TPMS sensor is showing a low battery signal. These sensors typically last 7 to 10 years, and yours are original to your 2014 vehicle. If the battery dies, you will get a warning light that can be confusing and might mask an actual low tire. Replacing the sensor now is $65, and we will program it to your vehicle so everything reads correctly. It is a lot cheaper than a dealer visit if it fails later. Should I take care of that?"


Seasonal Changeover

"When we swap your winter tires on, the TPMS sensors need to be relearned to the vehicle. Some shops skip this step, but then your tire pressure warning system will not work correctly. We include full TPMS programming with every changeover to make sure your safety systems are working properly. It is part of our complete service."


6. ROAD HAZARD PROTECTION SCRIPTS

Standard Close

"I always recommend our road hazard protection plan. For $79, it covers repair or replacement of your tires if you hit a nail, pothole, or road debris. Last week alone, three customers came in with punctures. Two had the plan and got free repairs. The third did not and paid $180 for a new tire. At $79 for 5 years of coverage, it pays for itself with one incident. Should I add that protection?"


Cost Comparison Close

"Here is the math: one replacement tire after hitting a pothole costs $200 plus mounting and balancing. The road hazard plan is $79 and covers all four tires for 5 years. You are basically buying insurance for less than the cost of one incident."

Discovery for Wheel Customers

"What look are you going for — aggressive, sporty, luxury, or off-road?"

"What is your vehicle — year, make, model, trim level?"

"Are you looking to maintain the same size or go bigger? Any specific wheel style in mind?"

"Our Budget Build at $1,800 gets you a sharp-looking set of quality cast wheels with tires included. Great looks without breaking the bank."

"Let me show you what each of these looks like on your actual vehicle."


The Wheel Build Experience Close

"Here is what I will do — we will schedule your build appointment, and I will personally send you progress photos as we mount and balance your setup. When it is done, I will take professional photos of your completed vehicle for our gallery — and for your Instagram, if you are into that. This is not just a purchase. It is a transformation. Ready to pick your wheels?"


8. PACKAGE PRESENTATION SCRIPTS

The Complete Package Close

"Let me show you the smartest way to do this. Instead of buying tires and adding services one at a time, our Complete Package gives you everything — the tires, mounting, balancing, alignment, road hazard protection, TPMS service, and nitrogen fill — for $1,295. If you bought all of these separately, it would be $1,540. So you are saving $245 and getting the complete protection package. Should I set that up for you?"


The Seasonal Tire Management Close

"Since you are buying winter tires, let me tell you about our Seasonal Tire Management Program. For $395 per year, we store your off-season tires, do both changeovers, include alignment checks, and give you priority scheduling. Storage alone at other places costs $200. Two changeovers at $129 each is $258. So the package saves you money and you never have to touch a tire in your garage again. Want me to add that?"


9. FINANCING PRESENTATION SCRIPTS

The Monthly Reframe

"The complete package for your vehicle is $1,195. We also offer payment plans starting at $49 per month if that makes it easier. That is about $1.60 per day — less than a coffee — for complete peace of mind and the safest tires on the road. Which works better for you?"


The Convenience Angle

"Most of our customers choose the payment plan option. It lets you get the tires you actually need — the premium option that lasts longer and performs better — without the big upfront hit. You drive away with the best setup today, and the payments fit right into your monthly budget. Want me to show you the options?"


The Application Process

"The application takes about 30 seconds on your phone. No paperwork, no waiting, no credit impact to check. You choose the term — 6, 12, or 18 months — and we get started on your installation right away. Ready to apply?"


10. OBJECTION HANDLING SCRIPTS

"That is more than I expected to pay."

"I completely understand. Quality tires are a significant investment. Can I ask what you were expecting, so I can make sure we are looking at the right options?"

After hearing their number:

"I hear you. Here is what I can do — our Standard package at $895 still gets you quality tires with mounting, balancing, and installation. It does not include the alignment or road hazard protection, but you are getting safe, reliable tires that will serve you well. Would that work better for your budget?"

Or:

"The good news is we offer payment plans starting at $39 per month. Many of our customers find that makes it much more manageable. Would you like me to show you the options?"


"Your competitor is cheaper."

"I appreciate you giving us the opportunity. Can I ask what that quote includes?"

After hearing their quote:

"Many quotes that seem lower do not include alignment, balancing, road hazard protection, or our satisfaction guarantee. Our Complete Package at $1,295 includes all of that. When you compare apples to apples, our value is actually very strong. Plus, we include our 30-day satisfaction guarantee and local service warranty that they do not offer. Can I show you the full comparison?"


"I need to think about it."

"Of course. This is an important decision. Can I ask what specifically you would like to think about — is it the tire choice, the price, or the timing? I want to make sure I have given you all the information you need."

If price:

"I understand. Here is what I will do — I will hold this quote and these tires for 48 hours. After that, I cannot guarantee the price or availability. Fair enough?"

If timing:

"No problem. Can I send you a text with the quote details so you have everything? And I will follow up in a couple of days to answer any questions."


"My spouse handles the car decisions."

"No problem at all. Would it help if I sent a quick summary of my recommendations via text or email? That way you have all the details — the tire specs, pricing, and why I recommended these specific options. Then your spouse can review everything and call me with any questions. What is the best email or number to send that to?"


"I am just price shopping right now."

"Smart approach. Here is what I will do — I will give you a written quote with all the specs so you can compare accurately. When you are ready to buy, I would love the chance to earn your business. One thing to keep in mind — we include our satisfaction guarantee and local service warranty that online retailers cannot match. Here is my card, and feel free to call me with any questions."


"I can get tires cheaper online."

"You absolutely can. Here is the difference — when you buy online, you still need to find an installer, pay for mounting and balancing separately, and if there is an issue, you are shipping tires back. The Assumptive Close

The Summary Close

The Urgency Close

Same-Day Text Follow-Up

3-Day Follow-Up Call

Review Request Text

Winter Pre-Booking Call

"Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] from [Shop Name]. Winter tire season is coming up fast, and I am calling our best customers first. If you pre-book your winter tire installation by September 30, you will save 10% and get first pick of appointment times. Last year we were booked 3 weeks out by mid-October.
