1. Sales Call Scripts

Script 1: Discovery Call for B2B Sales

Objective: Understand prospect needs and position your social enterprise solution.

Opening:

"Thank you for taking the time to speak with me today. I am [name] from [company]. We help organizations like yours [specific outcome] while funding [specific impact]. Before I tell you more about us, I would love to understand what you are currently doing around [relevant area]. What prompted you to take this call?"

Discovery Questions:

1

"What are your current priorities around [product category or cause]?"

2

"How are you currently addressing [problem your product solves]?"

3

"What would an ideal solution look like for your team?"

4

"How important is social impact to your procurement decisions?"

5

"What is your timeline for making a decision on this?"

6

"Who else is involved in this decision?"

7

"What would success look like 6 months from now?"

Value Presentation:

"Based on what you have shared, here is how we can help. Our [product] delivers [functional benefit] while funding [specific impact]. For a company your size, that means [quantified benefit]. Beyond the product, your team will receive [additional value: impact reports, community access, etc.]."

Impact Story:

"Let me share a quick example. [Company similar to prospect] started working with us 6 months ago. They have achieved [functional result] and their purchases have funded [specific impact outcome]. Their procurement lead told me [testimonial quote]."

Closing:

"I would love to put together a specific proposal for you based on what we discussed today. Can I send that over by [day]? And would it make sense to schedule a brief follow-up next week to answer any questions?"

Script 2: Cold Outreach Call

Objective: Generate interest and secure a follow-up meeting.

Opening:

"Hi [name], this is [your name] from [company]. I know you were not expecting my call, so I will be brief. We create [product category] that [key benefit], and every purchase funds [specific impact]. I noticed [prospect company] has been [relevant activity: expanding, focusing on sustainability, etc.], and I thought there might be a fit. Do you have 60 seconds?"

Interest Spark:

"Organizations like yours are increasingly looking for [solution type] that aligns with their values. Our [product] is [key differentiator], and our customers typically see [result]. Plus, your procurement would directly fund [impact outcome]."

Next Step:

"I would love to show you what this could look like for [prospect company]. Would you be open to a 15-minute call next week? I promise to make it worth your time."

Script 3: Handling Objections

Objection: "Your price is higher than competitors."

Response: "I completely understand. Our price reflects three things: the quality of our product, the transparency of our supply chain, and the direct impact your purchase funds. When you buy from us, you are not just getting a product. You are funding [specific impact]. Many of our customers initially came to us for the product and stayed because of the impact. Would it help to see a breakdown of exactly where your money goes?"

Objection: "We need to think about it."

Response: "Of course. This is an important decision. To help you think it through, what specific questions or concerns do you need to resolve? I want to make sure I provide everything you need to make the best decision for your team."

Objection: "We are happy with our current supplier."

Response: "That makes sense. If something is working, there is no reason to change. I am curious, though: does your current supplier provide [unique benefit: impact reports, transparency, community involvement]? Many of our customers kept their existing suppliers for years before realizing they could get the same quality while also creating measurable impact. Would you be open to seeing a comparison?"

Objection: "Impact is not a priority for our procurement."

Response: "I appreciate your honesty. Many procurement teams we work with initially felt the same way. What they discovered was that their employees, customers, and stakeholders increasingly valued suppliers with clear social impact. Our partners often use their impact reports in their own marketing and employee engagement. Would it be useful to see how other companies in your industry have used this?"
