2. DISCOVERY CALL SCRIPTS

Script 2.1: Wedding Discovery Call (20-30 minutes)

Opening (2 minutes)

"Thank you so much for taking the time to chat today. I am really excited to hear about your wedding. Before we dive into packages and details, tell me a little bit about what you have planned so far and what your vision is for the day."

Discovery Questions

"What made you choose [Venue]? What do you love about it?"

"Have you thought about what style of photography you are drawn to?"

"What matters most to you about your wedding photos?"

"Are there any photos from other weddings you have seen that you absolutely love?"

"Who else is involved in the photographer decision?"

"Have you looked at other photographers? What stood out or did not feel right?"

"What is your biggest concern or fear about the photography?"

Transition to Recommendation

"Based on everything you have shared, I think the [Package Name] would be perfect for you. It includes [key features], which addresses exactly what you mentioned about [their specific concern]. The investment is [Price]. I do have [Date] available, and I would love to hold it for you. Would you like me to send over the proposal and contract after our call?"

Script 2.2: Portrait Discovery Call (15 minutes)

Opening

"I am so glad we could connect. Tell me about what inspired you to book this session."

Questions

"What made you want to schedule this session now?"

"Have you worked with a professional photographer before? How was that experience?"

"What do you want to feel when you see these images?"

"Who will be in the photos with you?"

"How do you plan to use these images?"

"Is there anything that makes you nervous about the session?"

Close

"Based on what you have shared, I recommend the [Package]. It includes everything you need, and we will have plenty of time to create images you will love. I have [Date] and [Date] available. Which works better?"

3. CONSULTATION CLOSING SCRIPTS

Script 3.1: The Assumptive Close

"I am so excited about your wedding. The [Package Name] is going to be perfect for what you described. I can hold [Date] with a signed contract and the $[amount] retainer. Would you like me to send that over right now, or do you have any other questions first?"

Script 3.2: The Options Close

"It sounds like we are a great fit. You have two great options: the Signature Experience at $[Price] which includes [features], or the Legacy Collection at $[Price] which adds [premium features]. Which feels right for your day?"

Script 3.3: The Soft Close

"I never want anyone to feel pressured. This is a big decision. What I can tell you is that my availability for [month] is filling up, and I have already turned away two inquiries for your date. If you decide you would like to move forward, I am here. If you need time to think, I completely understand. I can hold the date for 48 hours while you decide. Does that feel fair?"

4. PRICE OBJECTION SCRIPTS

Script 4.1: "That is more than we budgeted."

"I completely understand. Wedding budgets are real, and every dollar matters. Most of my couples had a similar reaction when they first saw my pricing. What they found after working with me was that the investment made sense when they considered what is included — the [second shooter/album/engagement session] alone would cost [$X] separately. Would it help if I walked through exactly what is included so you can see where the value is?"

Script 4.2: "We need to think about it."

"Of course. This is a big decision. Can I ask what specifically you need to think through? Is it the investment, the package, or something about my approach? I want to make sure I have answered all your questions and that you have everything you need to make the right choice."

Script 4.3: "We are comparing a few photographers."

"That is smart. You should absolutely compare your options. Can I ask what matters most to you in your decision? Is it the style, the experience, the price, or something else? I want to make sure you have everything you need to compare apples to apples."

Script 4.4: "Can you match [competitor's] price?"

"I don't price-match because my packages include things theirs do not, like [specific differentiator]. What I can do is make sure you are comparing the same things. Their package at $[Price] does not include [album/second shooter/engagement session]. If you add those, their price is actually higher than mine."

5. ALBUM UPSELL SCRIPTS

Script 5.1: At Booking

"The Signature Experience includes a $600 album credit, which covers our standard 10x10 album beautifully. Many couples choose to upgrade to the 12x12 with the leather cover, which is absolutely stunning in person. Would you like me to show you the album samples so you can see the difference?"

Script 5.2: At Gallery Delivery

"Your gallery is stunning. As you are looking through your images, I want you to imagine holding them in a handcrafted album 20 years from now. Digital files are wonderful, but there is something magical about turning the pages of a physical album. I have put together a few album options for you. Would you like to see them?"

Script 5.3: Parent Album Offer

"Many of my couples order parent albums as gifts for their families. It is the same album design in a slightly smaller size, and parents absolutely love them. Would you like to add two parent albums to your order?"

6. MINI-SESSION SALES SCRIPTS

Script 6.1: Announcement Post

"Something special is coming this [season]! I am hosting [Theme] mini-sessions at [Location] on [Date]. 20 minutes, [X] edited images, and an experience your family will love. Only [Number] spots available. Booking opens [Date] at [Time] for my email list first. Link in bio to join the list!"

Script 6.2: Last Call

"Only 3 spots left for this Saturday's mini-sessions! If you have been thinking about it, now is the time. Direct booking link in my bio. First come, first served."

Script 6.3: Full Session Conversion

"I loved working with your family at the mini-session. The images turned out beautifully. If you loved this experience, I would love to offer you something special: book a full family session this spring and receive $100 off. Full sessions include 60 minutes, multiple locations, and 30+ edited images. Would you like me to send you the details?"

I am your dedicated visual content partner. Would that be valuable for your team?"

8. REFERRAL REQUEST SCRIPTS

Script 8.1: At Delivery

Script 8.2: Follow-Up Email

"Hi [Name], It has been a month since you received your gallery, and I hope you are still loving your images. I wanted to reach out because I am booking [season] sessions now, and I would be so grateful for any referrals to friends or family who might be looking for photography. As a thank you, I offer [referral reward] for every booked referral. Thank you for being such a wonderful client!"

9. FOLLOW-UP SCRIPTS

Script 9.1: Post-Consultation (3 days)

Script 9.2: Post-Consultation (7 days)

"Hi [Name], I know choosing a photographer is a big decision. I recently delivered a gallery from a [similar session] and thought you might enjoy seeing a few favorites: [link]. I would love to create something similar for you. Let me know if you have any questions about my packages."

Script 9.3: Final Follow-Up (14 days)

"Hi [Name], I am closing out my inquiry file for this month. If you have decided to go in another direction, I completely understand and wish you the best. If you are still considering me, feel free to reach out anytime. I would love to work with you."

10. CONTRACT AND DEPOSIT SCRIPTS

Script 10.1: Contract Presentation

"I am thrilled you are ready to move forward. I have prepared your proposal and contract. Everything we discussed is outlined here: the package, the timeline, the deliverables, and the payment schedule. The retainer to secure your date is $[Amount]. Once I receive the signed contract and deposit, [Date] is officially yours. Take a look and let me know if you have any questions!"

Script 10.2: Payment Plan Offer

"Your total investment is $[Amount]. To make this easier, I offer a payment plan: $[Deposit] to book your date, and the balance split into [Number] monthly payments of $[Amount] each, with the final payment due 30 days before your [wedding/session]. Would that work for your budget?"

Script 10.3: Late Payment Follow-Up

"Hi [Name], I hope you are doing well. I wanted to send a friendly reminder that your payment of $[Amount] was due on [Date]. If you have already sent it, please disregard this message. If you need to arrange a different payment schedule, just let me know and we can work something out."
