Hi [First Name],

I came across [Brand Name] [specific detail — product line, recent launch, social media post] and was impressed by [specific compliment].

I work with [industry] brands to create packaging that matches the quality of what is inside. Recently, we helped [similar brand] [specific result — increase unboxing shares, reduce damage by X%, launch on time].

I have a specific idea for how [Brand Name] could [specific benefit — improve shelf presence, reduce costs, enhance unboxing] that I would love to share.

Worth a brief conversation next week? I promise to keep it under 15 minutes.

Best,

[Your Name]

[Company Name]

[One credibility line — e.g., "Packaging partner for 200+ growing brands"]

Script 1.2: The Problem-Agitation-Solution Email

Subject: The packaging mistake costing [industry] brands repeat customers

Hi [First Name],

Most [industry] brands I speak with are losing customers because of one packaging oversight: [specific problem — damaged shipments, forgettable unboxing, inconsistent quality].

It usually shows up as [agitate the problem — increased returns, negative reviews, low social sharing], but the root cause is packaging that does not match the brand promise.

We helped [similar brand] fix this by [specific solution], which resulted in [specific outcome].

I put together a quick case study showing exactly what we did. Interested?

[Your Name]

Script 1.3: The Value-First Email

Subject: Free packaging audit for [Brand Name]

Hi [First Name],

I am offering complimentary packaging audits for [industry] brands this month. The audit covers:

Right-sizing analysis (most brands are over-paying on shipping)

Material optimization (identify cost savings without quality loss)

Sustainability assessment (eco-options that don't break the budget)

Quick-win recommendations you can implement immediately

It takes 20 minutes and I will send you a written report within 48 hours. No obligation, no sales pitch.

Interested? Just reply and we will find a time.

[Company Name]

We specialize in [your specialty] for brands like [Brand Name], and I would love to understand what you are working on and share some relevant ideas.

Are you open to a brief call next week?

Best,

[Your Name]

2. Cold Phone Scripts

Script 2.1: The Permission-Based Opener

"Hi [First Name], this is [Your Name] from [Company]. We specialize in custom packaging for [industry] brands.

I am not calling to sell you anything — I noticed [Brand Name] [specific observation] and had a quick idea I wanted to share. Do you have 30 seconds?

[If yes]: Great. We recently helped [similar brand] [specific result] by [specific approach]. Based on what I see with [Brand Name], there might be a similar opportunity. Worth a brief conversation next week?"

Script 2.2: The Problem-Focused Opener

"Hi [First Name], this is [Your Name] from [Company].

Quick question: Are you currently [specific trigger — launching a new product, dealing with packaging quality issues, looking for sustainable options]?

[If yes]: That is exactly what we help with. We work with [industry] brands to [specific solution].

Many of our clients came to us because [specific pain point]. We helped them [specific result].

I would love to learn more about what you are working on. Do you have 15 minutes next Tuesday or Wednesday?"

Script 2.3: The Event Follow-Up Call

I have been thinking about what you shared, and I have a few ideas that might be relevant. Do you have 10 minutes this week for a quick call?

I will send you a calendar link as well, but wanted to reach out directly."

Script 2.4: The Gatekeeper Bypass

To assistant/receptionist:

"Hi, this is [Your Name] from [Company]. I am calling regarding [Brand Name]'s packaging supply. Could you connect me with whoever manages packaging decisions? That would be [Title — Brand Manager, Purchasing Director, etc.].

[If asked about the call]: It is about a cost optimization we identified for their packaging program. I promise to keep it brief."

3. LinkedIn Outreach Scripts

Script 3.1: The Connection Request

"Hi [First Name], I came across [Brand Name] and was impressed by [specific detail]. I help [industry] brands create packaging that elevates their customer experience. Would love to connect and share ideas."

Script 3.2: The Value-First Message

"Thanks for connecting, [First Name]!

I noticed [Brand Name] uses [current packaging observation]. Many brands in [industry] have found that [specific improvement] made a significant impact on [specific outcome — customer perception, shipping costs, unboxing shares].

I put together a quick guide on [relevant topic]. Happy to share it if useful — no strings attached.

Hope you are having a great week!"

Script 3.3: The Case Study Message

"Hi [First Name],

Quick follow-up. I thought you might find this relevant: we recently worked with [similar brand] to [specific project], and they saw [specific results] within [timeframe].

The approach might apply to [Brand Name]'s upcoming [launch/season/expansion]. Worth a brief conversation?

Best,

[Your Name]"

Script 3.4: The Soft Close

"[First Name], I don't want to be the person who keeps following up forever. If packaging is not a priority right now, I completely understand.

Just let me know either way — happy to share ideas when the timing is better, or step back if it is not a fit.

Either way, great connecting with you.

[Your Name]"

4. Discovery Call Scripts

Script 4.1: The Opening (First 3 Minutes)

"Thanks for taking the time, [First Name]. I have done some research on [Brand Name], and I am excited about what you are building. Before I share how we might help, I would love to understand your situation better. Mind if I ask some questions?

Great. To start, tell me about [Brand Name] and your target customer."

Script 4.2: The Discovery Questions

Business Context:

"What is driving the need for packaging right now?"

"What does success look like for this project?"

"What is your timeline?"

Current Situation:

"How are you handling packaging today?"

"What is working well?"

"What frustrations or limitations are you experiencing?"

"What would you change if you could?"

Future State:

"If you could wave a magic wand, what would your ideal packaging look like?"

"How important is sustainability to your brand and customers?"

"What role does the unboxing experience play in your customer journey?"

Decision Process:

"Who else is involved in the packaging decision?"

"Have you worked with a custom packaging company before? What was that experience like?"

"What budget range have you allocated for packaging?"

Script 4.3: The Transition

"Based on everything you have shared, here is what I am hearing:

You need [summary of needs]

Your timeline is [timeline]

The biggest challenge is [key challenge]

Success means [their definition of success]

I have some specific ideas for how we can help. Would you like me to outline an approach?"

5. Proposal Presentation Scripts

Script 5.1: The Agenda Set

"Today, I will walk you through our recommendations based on our discovery call. I will cover:

1

Our understanding of your needs

2

The solution we recommend and why

3

Investment and options

4

Next steps and timeline

Any questions can wait until the end unless something is unclear. Sound good?"

Script 5.2: Presenting the Recommendation

"Based on your need for [key need], timeline of [timeline], and budget considerations, we recommend our [Tier Name] package.

Here is why: [connect features to their specific needs]. This gives you [key benefit] at a timeline that matches your [launch/deadline].

The investment for this package is [price], which includes [list what is included]. That works out to [cost per unit or daily cost framing]."

Script 5.3: Presenting Three Tiers

"We have three approaches we could take:

Option 1 — [Starter]: At [price], this gives you [basic features]. This works well if [specific situation].

Option 2 — [Professional] (our recommendation): At [price], this includes [key features]. This is our most popular option because [reason].

Option 3 — [Enterprise]: At [price], this adds [premium features] plus [white-glove services]. This makes sense if [specific situation].

Given what you shared about [their situation], the [Professional] tier seems like the right fit. What are your thoughts?"

6. Objection Handling Scripts

Script 6.1: "Your price is too high."

"I appreciate you sharing that. When you say 'too high,' are you comparing us to a specific quote, or is this about the budget you have available?

[If comparing]: Let me help you compare apples to apples. Our quote includes [list inclusions]. Can you share what theirs includes? I want to make sure you are evaluating the full picture.

[If budget]: I understand budget constraints. Let's look at what we can adjust while still delivering the outcome you need. We could [offer trade-offs]. Which aspects are most important to preserve?"

Script 6.2: "We found a cheaper option."

"Cheaper is always available. The question is: what are you giving up for that lower price?

Can you share what the other quote includes? I want to make sure you are comparing equivalent offerings. For example, our quote includes [key differentiators — design support, proofing, rush flexibility, quality guarantee].

The real cost of packaging is not just the invoice. It is the cost of delays, quality issues, and missed opportunities. Our clients find that [specific value] more than covers the difference."

Script 6.3: "We need to think about it."

"Absolutely, this is an important decision. To make sure I provide everything you need for that conversation, what specific questions or concerns will you be evaluating?

[Listen and address each concern]

Is there anything else that would help you make a confident decision? I can provide [references, samples, revised timeline, different payment terms]."

Script 6.4: "We need to get more quotes."

"That makes complete sense. To help you make an informed comparison, here is a checklist of questions to ask each vendor:

What is included in the quoted price?

What is the proofing process?

What happens if the quality does not match the proof?

What is your on-time delivery rate?

What is the process if we need changes mid-production?

What certifications do you hold?

I would rather you choose the best partner than choose us for the wrong reasons. After you have talked to others, I would love to answer any questions that come up."

Script 6.5: "The timing isn't right."

"I understand timing is a consideration. When you say timing, do you mean [option A] the project timeline has shifted, or [option B] you are not ready to commit to a vendor yet?

[If A]: When does the timeline open up? I can schedule a follow-up for then and make sure we are ready when you are.

[If B]: What would need to happen for you to feel ready? I am happy to work with you on whatever that is."

7. Closing Scripts

Script 7.1: The Assumptive Close

"Great. To get started, I will need your shipping address for the sample, and we can schedule the kickoff call for [day]. Does Tuesday work for you?

[If they agree]: Perfect. I will send the agreement and invoice for the deposit today. Production begins the next business day after we receive the deposit."

Script 7.2: The Alternative Close

"Would you prefer the 1,000-unit run to start, or the 2,500-unit run for better unit economics?

[Either way they choose, they are buying]: The 2,500-unit option gives you the best per-unit cost. I will prepare the agreement for that."

Script 7.3: The Urgency Close

"To meet your [Date] launch, we need to start production by [Date]. That means we need the signed agreement and deposit by [Date].

Can we make that happen? I can have the agreement to you within 2 hours."

Script 7.4: The Summary Close

"Let me make sure I have this right. You need [quantity] [product type] with [specifications], delivered by [date], at [total price].

I will include [add-ons] and the [service] we discussed.

If that all sounds correct, I will send the agreement right now and we can get started. Sound good?"

Script 7.5: The Trial Close (During Discovery)

"Does this approach sound like it would solve the [specific problem] you mentioned?

[If yes]: Great. Shall I put together a formal proposal with the exact specifications and pricing?

[If maybe]: What would need to change to make this a perfect fit?"
