SCRIPT 1: Trial Offer Phone Script

Purpose: Convert an inbound inquiry into a trial purchase

[Opening]

"Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] from [Brand]. I saw you were interested in our meal prep service. First, thank you for reaching out -- I would love to help you figure out if we are the right fit."

[Discovery]

"Before I tell you about our plans, can I ask what brought you to us? Are you looking to save time, hit specific nutrition goals, or just eat healthier overall?"

[Listen. Take notes. Reference their specific motivation throughout.]

[The Bridge]

"That makes total sense. A lot of our subscribers came to us for the exact same reason. Here is what I typically recommend for someone in your situation..."

[The Offer]

"We have a trial week where you get 5 meals for just $39 -- that is 50% off our regular price. It gives you a chance to taste the food, see how delivery works, and decide if you want to continue. No subscription required for the trial."

[Urgency]

"Our order deadline for this week is tomorrow at midnight. If you sign up today, your first delivery arrives this Sunday."

[Close]

"Would you like me to reserve a trial spot for you? I just need your delivery address and dietary preferences, which takes about 2 minutes."

[If No]

"Totally understand -- it is a commitment. Can I send you our menu for this week so you can see what we are offering? No pressure, just information."

SCRIPT 2: Subscription Upsell Script

Purpose: Convert a trial customer into a full subscriber

[Opening - Call or Email Follow-Up]

"Hi [Name], I hope you have been enjoying your trial meals this week! I wanted to personally check in and see how everything has been."

[Discovery]

"Which meal has been your favorite so far? ... And how has the delivery timing worked for your schedule?"

[The Bridge - Assuming Positive]

"That is exactly what most of our subscribers say about the [favorite meal]. It is actually one of our most popular dishes."

[The Offer]

"Since you have been enjoying the trial, I wanted to let you know about our subscriber benefits. When you upgrade to a weekly plan, you get: full menu selection every week, priority delivery slot, access to our dietary-specific meals, and 15% off add-ons like breakfast and snacks."

[The Close]

"Our most popular plan is 10 meals per week for $95 -- that covers lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. If you sign up before your trial ends, I will apply a 20% discount to your first month as a thank you for trying us out."

[If Hesitation]

"What would make this an easy decision for you?"

[If Price Objection]

"I get it -- $95 is an investment. Most of our subscribers find they actually save money because they stop ordering takeout and buying groceries they do not use. One subscriber told us she went from spending $140/week on food to $95 with us."

SCRIPT 3: Corporate Prospect Cold Call Script

Purpose: Book a meeting with a corporate decision maker

[Opening]

"Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] from [Brand]. We are a local meal delivery service, and I am calling because we just launched a corporate wellness meal program that I think could be a great fit for [Company]. Do you have 60 seconds?"

[The Hook]

"We work with companies like [Company] to provide fresh, healthy meals to their teams. Most of our corporate partners saw a noticeable improvement in employee satisfaction after launching the program, and several have told us it helped with retention."

[Discovery]

"Does [Company] currently offer any meal benefits or catering for employees?"

[If Yes]

"That is great -- you already see the value. I would love to show you how our program compares on cost, variety, and employee satisfaction. Would you be open to a 15-minute call next week where I can walk you through what we offer?"

[If No]

"A lot of companies are adding meal benefits as part of their wellness strategy. I would love to send you a brief proposal and a sample lunch for your team to try. No commitment, just a chance to see if there is interest. Does Tuesday or Wednesday work better for a drop-off?"

[The Close]

"I will send you a one-page overview and a few sample menus. Can we schedule a brief call for [day] to get your feedback?"

SCRIPT 4: Corporate Follow-Up Email Script

Subject: Sample lunch delivery + proposal for [Company]

Hi [Name],

Thank you for taking my call yesterday. As promised, I have attached our corporate meal program proposal for [Company].

Here is what is inside:

Menu options covering keto, vegan, gluten-free, and standard diets

Per-employee pricing with volume discounts

Delivery logistics (we handle everything)

Case study from a similar-sized company

I would also love to bring sample lunches for your team to try next [day]. It takes 5 minutes to set up, and your employees get free lunch. No strings attached.

Are you open to a 15-minute call on [day 1] or [day 2] to discuss?

Best,

[Your Name]

[Brand]

[Phone] | [Email]

P.S. Our corporate clients typically see a 20%+ participation rate within the first month.

SCRIPT 5: Partnership Pitch Script (Gym/Trainer)

Purpose: Establish a referral partnership with a gym or personal trainer

[Opening - In Person at Gym]

"Hi [Name], I am [Your Name] from [Brand]. I have heard great things about your training program, and I wanted to introduce myself. We are a local meal prep company, and we work with trainers to help their clients nail the nutrition side of their goals."

[The Hook]

"I know you put a ton of effort into your clients' workouts. The hardest part for most people is the kitchen. We take that off their plate -- literally -- with macro-perfect meals delivered fresh."

[The Value Proposition]

"Here is what I had in mind for a partnership: every client you refer gets $40 off their first week. You earn $40 for every client who signs up. We provide you with referral cards, sample meals for your breakroom, and monthly nutrition workshops for your members -- free."

[Social Proof]

"We are already working with [Gym A] and [Gym B], and both have told us their clients stick to their nutrition plans better when the meals are handled for them. One trainer told us his clients hit their body composition goals 30% faster."

[The Close]

"Would you be open to trying a week of meals yourself, on us? I think once you taste the quality and see the macro accuracy, you will feel confident recommending us. I can drop off 5 meals this week."

SCRIPT 6: Referral Request Script

Purpose: Ask a satisfied subscriber for a referral

[Context: Email or Text at Week 3-4]

Subject: A favor (and a $40 credit for you)

Hi [Name],

You have been with us for [X] weeks now, and I hope the meals have been making your life easier.

I am wondering -- do you know anyone who could use healthy meals delivered to their door? A coworker, a gym buddy, a family member who is always too busy to cook?

Here is the deal: give them $40 off their first week, and you get $40 in account credit when they sign up. Everyone wins.

SCRIPT 7: Win-Back Phone Script

Purpose: Re-engage a canceled subscriber

[Opening]

"Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] from [Brand]. I noticed you canceled a few weeks ago, and I wanted to personally reach out and see how everything is going."

[Discovery - No Guilt]

"I know these things happen for all kinds of reasons. If you do not mind me asking, what was the main reason you decided to pause?"

[Listen actively. Do not defend. Empathize.]

[Response by Cancellation Reason]

If Price: "I completely understand -- budgets are real. We have actually restructured our plans since you left, and I have a few options that might work better for you. Would you be open to hearing them?"

If Menu Fatigue: "That feedback is actually the reason I am calling. We just launched our new 6-week rotation system with 12 brand-new meals. I would love to send you a free week so you can see the difference."

If Travel/Life Changes: "That makes total sense. Instead of canceling completely, did you know you can pause your subscription for up to 4 weeks at a time? That way it is here when you are ready without losing your spot."

[The Close]

"I would love to have you back. Can I offer you 50% off your first week back? No commitment -- just give us another try and see what you think."

SCRIPT 8: Objection Handling Scripts

OBJECTION: "It is too expensive."

Response: "I hear that a lot, and I used to think the same thing. Let me ask -- how much are you currently spending on groceries, takeout, and coffee runs per week? [Wait] Most of our subscribers find they actually spend less with us because they eliminate wasted groceries and impulse takeout. Sarah, a subscriber since March, told us she went from $160/week on food to $95 with us."

OBJECTION: "I can cook for myself."

Response: "You absolutely can -- and that is great. Most of our subscribers can cook too. The question is not whether you can cook, it is whether cooking is the best use of your time. If you spend 8 hours a week on meal prep, what is that time worth to you? At $25/hour, that is $200 in time value. Our meals cost a fraction of that."

OBJECTION: "I do not want to be locked into a subscription."

Response: "Totally fair -- we hate being locked in too. That is why you can pause, skip, or cancel anytime with zero fees. No phone calls required -- just click a button in your account. Most of our subscribers have paused at least once for vacation or busy periods."

OBJECTION: "I have dietary restrictions."

Response: "That is exactly why we exist. We have dedicated lanes for keto, vegan, paleo, and gluten-free, and we handle allergies with separate prep areas. Can I ask what your specific restrictions are? I can tell you exactly how we accommodate them."

OBJECTION: "I need to think about it."

Response: "Of course -- it is a decision worth thinking through. So I can help you decide, what specifically are you considering? Is it the price, the menu, the commitment, or something else?"

OBJECTION: "I have tried meal prep before and did not like it."

Response: "I am sorry to hear that. Can I ask what you did not like about it? [Wait] That is actually one of the most common complaints about [specific issue], and it is exactly why we built our service differently. Here is how we handle that..."

OBJECTION: "The portions look small in the photos."

Response: "I get that -- photos can be deceiving. Our standard meals are 500-600 calories with 4-6oz of protein, which is a full plate. We also offer athlete portions that are 30% larger. Would you like me to send you a photo of an actual meal next to a ruler so you can see the real size?"

OBJECTION: "I am not sure my family will eat it."

Response: "That is a valid concern. We have a family plan specifically designed with kid-friendly flavors -- think grilled chicken with sweet potato fries, turkey meatballs with pasta, mild tacos. Plus, you can try just one family meal as a test before committing to a full plan."

SCRIPT 9: Customer Service Recovery Script

Purpose: Turn an angry customer into a loyal advocate

[Opening - Fast Response]

"Hi [Name], I just saw your message about [issue], and I am so sorry this happened. Let me fix this right now."

[Acknowledge & Empathize]

"You expected [X] and received [Y]. That is not okay, and I take full responsibility."

[Immediate Fix]

"Here is what I am doing right now: [specific action]. You will have [replacement/refund/credit] within [timeframe]."

[The Extra Mile]

"In addition to making this right, I am adding a $20 credit to your account for the inconvenience. I have also flagged this with our kitchen team so it does not happen again."

[Follow-Up Commitment]

"I will personally check in with you after your next delivery to make sure everything is perfect. Here is my direct line: [phone]. If anything is ever less than excellent, text me directly."

[Closing]

"Thank you for giving us the chance to make this right. We value your trust, and I am committed to earning it back."

SCRIPT 10: Review Request Script

[Email at Week 3-4]

Subject: Quick favor? (and a $10 credit)

Hi [Name],

You have been eating our meals for [X] weeks now, and I hope they have been making your week a little easier.

If you have a minute, would you leave us a quick review on Google? It takes about 60 seconds and helps other busy people in [City] find healthy meal options.

As a thank you, I will add $10 credit to your account.
