Material Change Policy:
If additional materials are required due to hidden conditions (e.g., water damage, asbestos, outdated wiring), the Handyman will stop work, photograph the condition, and present a written change order for Customer approval before proceeding.
4. WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY
Warranty Period: [12] months from date of completion
Warranty Coverage:
The Handyman warrants that all work performed under this agreement will be free from defects in workmanship for the warranty period. If any covered defect appears, the Handyman will repair or redo the defective work at no charge to the Customer.
Warranty Exclusions:
This warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear
Damage caused by Customer misuse, neglect, or abuse
Damage caused by natural disasters, accidents, or third parties
Customer-supplied materials or products
Work performed by Customer or third parties after Handyman completion
Cosmetic issues not affecting function (unless specifically warranted in writing)
Warranty Claim Process:
Customer must notify Handyman in writing (text or email acceptable) within the warranty period describing the defect. Handyman will schedule inspection within 5 business days and complete repair within 10 business days of inspection.
5. SCHEDULING & ACCESS

Rescheduling Policy:
Customer may reschedule without penalty with 24 hours advance notice.

Weather/Force Majeure:
If work cannot be completed due to weather, power outage, or other conditions beyond Handyman's control, work will be rescheduled at the earliest mutually convenient time without penalty.
6. PROPERTY PROTECTION & CLEANUP
The Handyman agrees to:
Use drop cloths and protective coverings in work areas
Move and cover furniture as needed
Clean work area upon completion (dust, debris, packaging removal)
Dispose of all job-related waste
Take "before" and "after" photographs for documentation
The Customer agrees to:
Clear the work area of personal items, decorations, and valuables
Secure pets in a separate area during service
Provide access to water and electricity if needed for work
Notify Handyman of any hazardous conditions (lead paint, asbestos, mold)
7. LIABILITY & INSURANCE
Insurance:
Handyman carries General Liability Insurance in the amount of $[Amount] and [Workers Compensation / Disability] insurance as required by law. Certificate of Insurance available upon request.
Limitation of Liability:
Handyman's liability is limited to the total amount paid by Customer under this agreement. Handyman is not liable for:
Pre-existing damage to walls, flooring, or structural elements discovered during work
Damage to hidden wiring, plumbing, or structural elements
Consequential damages (e.g., water damage from pre-existing leak)
Loss of use or inconvenience
Customer Responsibility:
Customer warrants that they have disclosed all known conditions that could affect the work. Failure to disclose known hazards may void warranty and insurance coverage.
8. PERMITS & REGULATIONS
Permit Responsibility:

Code Compliance:
All work will be performed in compliance with applicable building codes and regulations. If code violations are discovered, Handyman will notify Customer immediately and present options for compliance.
9. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Good Faith Negotiation:
Any dispute arising from this agreement will first be addressed through direct good-faith negotiation between Customer and Handyman.
Mediation:
If negotiation fails, parties agree to non-binding mediation before pursuing legal action.
Governing Law:
This agreement is governed by the laws of [State].
10. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior discussions, representations, or agreements. Changes to this agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.
